Alien Archetypes: Apparitions of Awareness

Every culture has encountered non-human intelligences — and every culture's encounter maps precisely onto their spiritual framework. The "alien" is the modern face of what the ancients called deities, devas, spirits, and wrathful protectors:

Vajrayāna Deity Yoga: The Tibetan Buddhist pantheon contains hundreds of enlightened beings — peaceful and wrathful, male and female, human and non-human. These are not worshipped as external gods. They are PRACTICED — the yogi becomes the deity, recognizing it as their own buddha nature in visualized form. The "alien" encounter and deity yoga are the same technology: meeting a non-ordinary intelligence and recognizing it as yourself.
